Public model, free to use
We released this experimental AI bot as a personal project to push the boundaries of what Artificial Intelligence (AI) bot agents can accomplish. However, it soon became evident that this could be a valuable resource for the mining industry. Therefore, it has been made available free for all to use in the interests of understanding its value to industry while simultaneously sharing safety and health knowledge in a novel and widely accessible format.
Queensland Coal Mining Industry Proof of Concept
This specific AI model has been trained with all legislation pertaining to Queensland Coal Mining, but the concept is applicable to any other mining sector. We have undoubtedly gained significant insights into what works and what does not in 2025. The model comprehends the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, the Regulations, all Recognised Standards, and Queensland Guidance Notes - but this is merely the tip of the iceberg. We are maintaining the proprietary information, ‘secret’ for the time being, but you are invited to experiment and learn for yourself its additional capabilities.

Getting Started
To get you started, we’ve been having fun asking it questions such as:
Who is responsible for contractors and service providers and what competencies do they require?
What do you know about the “Electrical Engineering Manager" role?
What PHMPs do I need for an open cut coal mine?
How often should I review the BBRA?
Create a lightning tarp for me
Count the number of tyre related accidents in last 10 years?, what can I do to ensure a safe workplace with respect to tyre risk?
While you’re there, ask it about competencies, the Practising Certificate Scheme, Management Structures…. it really is limitless.
Please let us know how you go, what works, what doesn’t (there’s a lot more still to improve) and how this has added value.
We are working on some customised versions for clients that include an understanding of their own site SHMS, so if this is something you’re interested in, send me an email directly steve@disruptivemining.tech to talk more.
